The BF rocks. I passed TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) today, thus completing my ER nursing trifecta (PALS, ACLS, and TNCC). He withheld the brutality of the course from me beforehand (imagine calculus—or, for those who LIKE calculus and find it easy, substitute some subject that is fairly complicated for you—for a day and a half followed by a tricky test and a practical exam) lest I become discouraged. I’m a perfectionist with a good memory so I read most of the book (!) and did fine, but I was a little worse for the wear, especially after getting up when I’m normally getting off work and going to bed. So he brought me flowers and chocolate. And told me I’m a good nurse and people like me.
Congratulations! I still need to do that one. I’m doing NRP next week, maybe TNCC in the winter.
